Product Description
- Two-piece lockout device in moulded ABS. One plate mounts on the door, the other on the frame or the adjacent door.
- Closing the door brings the plates together; a padlock through the aligned lock point holds it there.
- Sized for narrow spans – door-to-frame edges and double-door centre seams, where both faces sit close and in the same plane.
- The breaker or disconnect inside remains the energy isolating device. This holds the door closed over it.
- Fits panel boards, switchboards and cabinet covers of any make, hinged or non-hinged.
- Covers single-door and double-door panels.
- Universal Electrical Panel Door Lockout – Narrow fits in seconds using manufacturer-applied industrial adhesive tape. Nothing drilled, nothing modified.
- Rivets on through two holes per plate where a permanent lock point is wanted. Riveting makes holes – check the effect on the IP or NEMA rating first.
- Adhesive reaches full strength in about 24 hours and cannot then be easily pulled off by hand.
- Comes away with the ES-UPDL-T tool without marking the panel. Reusable with a new tape set.
- Fitted entirely from outside the panel, so the installer is not exposed to live parts.
- Takes one padlock for a single worker, or a lockout hasp so up to six can each fit their own.
- Keeps the enclosure closed to unauthorised hands and stops adjacent breakers being switched by mistake.
- Standard colour is Red. Rated for indoor and outdoor use.
- Designed to support compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(5)(ii).
- The door serves as the lockout point only where the switch cannot be operated with the door shut, the door is the only way in, and absence of voltage has been verified under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147(d)(6).
- Also available with a steel cable (ES-UPDL-01-C06 / C09 / C12) and in a wide-span version (ES-UPDL-02).
- Padlocks, hasps and replacement tape sets are ordered separately.
