Product Description
- Two-piece lockout device in moulded ABS, on a wider span than the ES-UPDL-01.
- The extra span lets the plates sit either side of a handle, across a stepped or raised joint, or on two faces meeting at 90°.
- Adds a lock point to covers and enclosures that were built without one.
- Universal Electrical Enclosure Lockout – Wide fits panel doors, junction boxes, wireways, pull boxes and auxiliary enclosures.
- Fits hinged, bolted and screw-on covers, on steel, stainless steel, painted and powder-coated surfaces.
- Where the enclosure holds a disconnect switch, it keeps the cover shut so that switch cannot be operated.
- Where the enclosure holds only live conductors and terminations, such as a junction box or wireway, it controls access. It does not replace isolation at the source.
- Fits in seconds on factory-applied industrial adhesive tape. Nothing drilled, so the enclosure keeps its IP or NEMA rating.
- Rivets on through two holes per plate where a permanent lock point is wanted. Riveting makes holes – check the effect on the rating first.
- Adhesive reaches full strength in about 24 hours and cannot then be pulled off by hand.
- Comes away with the ES-UPDL-T tool without marking the cover. Reusable with a new tape set.
- Low profile – does not foul adjacent equipment, cable entries or conduit runs.
- Fitted from outside the enclosure, so the installer is not exposed to live parts.
- Takes one padlock for a single worker, or a lockout hasp so up to six can each fit their own.
- Standard colour is Red. Rated for indoor and outdoor use.
- Designed to support compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(5)(ii).
- Also available in the narrow version (ES-UPDL-01) and with a vinyl coated steel cable (ES-UPDL-01-C06 / C09 / C12).
- Padlocks, hasps and replacement tape sets are ordered separately.
